AxeKey is a parallel port hardware dongle for software protection.
Commissioned by Geo&Soft and built around the now forgotten PIC16C54 using one of the firsts Microchip developement systems available in Italy.
AxeKey has a payload of 64 bytes written in an internal eeprom and some functions (challenge-response and calculation) on board. I wrote a set of libraries to allow the customer softwares to easily call protection functions on the key.
Customer has not used the internal eeprom, so I wrote the programmer software afterwards, when I needed to use the AxeKey for myself.
